The Andrew Marvell Lodge No 5642

The Andrew Marvell Lodge 5642 in Kingston upon Hull is in the Masonic Province of Yorkshire North & East Ridings, England. It was consecrated in 1937.

Senior Warden Bro Chris Fuller; Worshipful Master W Bro Thomas Cawkwell; Junior Warden Bro Steve Walker.

The Andrew Marvell Lodge 5642 meets nine times per year on the fourth Monday of the month from September till the following May except for the Christmas meeting which is held on the second Monday in December. Our meetings start at 6.30 pm except for January, the Installation meeting, which begins at 6:00 pm.

We meet at the Masonic Hall, 69 Beverley Road, Hull HU3 1XL, just off the A1079. (Click on the address for link to map.) There is a capacious free car park on site (first time users have to register, please note.)

In addition to the regular monthly Lodge meetings our Lodge holds monthly LoIs (Lodges of Instruction) on the second Monday of the month starting at 6.30 pm at Beverley Road Masonic Hall. This gives the Brethren the opportunity to practice ceremonies and Masonic ritual, to advance their Masonic knowledge through friendly and informal discussion, and to engage socially with each other in a lighthearted way.

The Lodge encourages all its members to become involved in Lodge activities.

Anyone who wishes to find out more about the Lodge or would like to enquire about becoming a member of the Lodge should contact the Lodge Secretary or ask any member of the Lodge.

In addition to our regular meetings the Andrew Marvell Lodge is actively involved in the community. We hold an annual Charity Night where local charities may benefit from donations from the Lodge.

The Lodge also promotes social events such as an annual Partners Night. Our Christmas social evening is also open for non-Masons to attend.

There is a bar in the large reception room with armchairs for people to relax. It is usually open before and after Lodge meetings. If you wish to sample the reasonably priced alcoholic beverages you are advised to book a taxi, or organise a delegated driver (the bar has plenty of soft drinks too.)

The lifeblood of our Lodge is its members. We are all encouraged to enjoy our Freemasonry. As well as attending our own Lodge meetings we are able to visit other Lodges where we can meet new friends and see other Masonic ceremonies. In return the Andrew Marvell Lodge 5642 welcomes Brethren from elsewhere to attend our meetings and, of course, to dine afterwards. With its excellent catering and accessible location the Lodge offers a warm welcome to everyone.

Whether you're old or young or somewhere in between our Lodge provides a friendly atmosphere for everybody to enjoy themselves.
